A founding partner of D’Alessio Romero Law Firm, Elio obtained a Bachelor of Arts with Honours Degree in Economics from York University, earned his law degree from The University of Manchester School of Law, attended The University of Toronto Faculty of Law and was called to the Ontario Bar.

Elio’s practice is devoted to all areas family law, wills and estates, serious personal injury claims (motor vehicle accidents and slip and falls) and denials of short-term and long-term disability claims.

Elio represents a broad spectrum of low to high net worth clients in intricate family law disputes, dealing with complex parenting, custody, property and support issues. He understands that litigation is one method of resolving a dispute and appreciates the practicality of alternative dispute resolution and its effectiveness in achieving a fair and equitable resolution in a cost-effective manner.

Elio’s clients benefit from his ability to represent them equally well in all levels of court and tribunals by focusing on providing them with exceptional legal representation in a proficient, cost-effective and compassionate manner where he works with them to move from a position of conflict to resolution.

Elio speaks fluent Italian and in his spare time enjoys travelling with his family, playing ice hockey, golf, scuba diving and cycling.



A founding partner of D’Alessio Romero Law Firm, Robert successfully represented his clients charged under the Provincial Offences Act and Canadian Criminal Code (summary conviction offences) in the Province of Ontario from 1992 to 1995.  Since then, Robert developed a passion for helping victims receive all  reasonable and necessary medical and rehabilitation treatment along with fair compensation for their injuries and losses.  Robert has become a well-respected, experienced and skilled negotiator, who vigorously advocates on behalf of his clients’ claims with respect to Slip and Falls, Canada Pension Disability Appeals, Criminal Injuries Compensation Board and Short-Term or Long-Term Disability Benefits.  Robert’s main focus is on Statutory Accident Benefits, representing his clients at proceedings before the Licence Appeal Tribunal (LAT), an adjudicative tribunal that is part of the Safety, Licensing Appeals and Standards Tribunals Ontario (SLASTO).

As a P1 Licensee, in good standing with the Law Society of Upper Canada, Robert is legally licensed and experienced to provide legal services in Ontario. Robert’s high level of commitment, dedication, professionalism and energy transcends into his work and the successful representation of his clients.



Mr. Galan is a courtroom litigator who provides fair, aggressive and professional representation to individuals who are injured by the negligence of others.  He fights against insurance companies to protect the rights of victims and has recovered millions of dollars for his clients.

Mr. Galan’s practice focuses primarily on injury insurance claims, including motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall injuries, long-term disability claims and insurance claims.

Mr. Galan was awarded the Ontario Scholar Award by the Province of Ontario, prior to obtaining his Bachelors Degree at the University of Toronto, St. George Campus.  He studied Spanish at the University of Malaga and the University of Havana.  He obtained a United States and Canadian Law degree at Michigan State University, College of Law and University of Ottawa Law School. At Michigan State University, he was awarded the Jurisprudence Achievement Award for that school’s Competitive Negotiation Class.

Mr. Galan appeared at hundreds of Superior Court matters. He regularly appears at contested and uncontested motions and at other levels of the court process, including the Court of Appeal and as lead counsel at a personal injury Jury Trial. Among his achievements, he won against an insurance company that tried to prevent his client from obtaining compensation when his client was injured outside Canada (Iglesias v. Brown, 2009 CanLII 41360 (ON SC)). The Court ordered the Insurance company to pay the plaintiff’s costs. He won against an insurance company that attempted to transfer his clients’ cases to another jurisdiction to obtain a tactical advantage. The Court ordered the Insurance company to pay Mr. Galan’s costs (Chen et al. v. Ji, 2013 ONSC 7408). He won against an insurance company that attempted to prejudice his clients’ right to a fair trial (Guo v. Ji, 2013 ONSC 7684 (CanLII). The Court ordered the Insurance company to pay Mr. Galan’s costs. Mr. Galan’s firm won against a Defendant that improperly delayed his client’s case for compensation (Duong et. al. v. Lopez, CV-11-428239).  The Court ordered the Defendant to pay Mr. Galan’s costs. Mr. Galan’s firm won another motion where his firm secured a $3,500 cost award against a defendant insurer. Mr. Galan has also won his seventh consecutive Tribunal Hearing.

When Mr. Galan is not in the courtroom he enjoys volunteering at various charities, exercising and practicing MMA and spending time with his friends and family.  He is an active member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association and a member in good standing at the Law Society of Upper Canada.



Laura works in association with D’Alessio Romero Law Firm.  She obtained her Bachelor of Arts with Honours degree from the University of Toronto and attended Law School at the University of Westminster.  After completing her law degree in the United Kingdom, Laura attended Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Ontario Bar.

Her main areas of practice focus on residential and commercial real estate transactions. Before joining D’Alessio Romero Law Firm, Laura gained invaluable experience as a summer student at a well-known Bay Street law firm and completed her articles at a mid-town full service boutique law firm. These experiences have given her insight to areas of Real Estate, Condominium Law and Civil Litigation.  Laura has appeared before Administrative Tribunals and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Small Claims Court.

Laura speaks fluent Italian and in  her spare time, she enjoys traveling, scuba diving and spending time with family.



Anthony works in association with D’Alessio Romero Law Firm. He completed his Bachelor of Arts majoring in Political Science and Business from York University and attended The University of Westminster’s Law School where he obtained his law degree.

Anthony has experience in personal injury, occupier’s liability, insurance disputes, and real estate law. He has advocated and appeared at motions and hearings at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Ontario Small Claims Court and the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board.

Anthony brings his experience in motor vehicle accident, slip and fall and long-term disability cases to the firm.  He handles his files with diligence, proficiency and empathy for each of his client’s special needs. Anthony’s skills and broad experience in the area of personal injury litigation are of considerable value to the firm and his clients.

Anthony speaks Arabic fluently and is a member of the Ontario Bar Association and the Canadian Bar association.



Robert Curtis is a courtroom litigator whose practice focuses primarily on injury insurance claims, including motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall injuries, long-term disability claims and insurance claims. He believes that fair and vigorous litigation is necessary to achieve maximum compensation for his injured clients. He has prosecuted claims that include catastrophic brain injuries, chronic pain, spinal cord and orthopedic injuries as well as physiological conditions resulting from the trauma of a severe collision.

Robert obtained a specialized honours undergraduate degree in philosophy from York University and his law degree from Western University. He continues to be passionate about philosophy and loves that his career allows him to help seriously injured people get the compensation they need to put their lives back on track.
Mr. Curtis has appeared on hundreds of Superior Court matters as well as before the Financial Services Commission of Ontario. He has fearlessly and successfully advanced his clients’ claims in contested motions, protecting his clients’ personal information. While articling Mr. Curtis regularly acted as Prosecutor for the City of Waterloo.



Michael obtained his Bachelor of Arts with Honours degree in Criminology at York University before completing his law degree at the University of Windsor Faculty of Law.

Michael has experience in several areas of law including personal injury, criminal, real estate and corporate. Michael has litigated for his clients at many levels of Court, including the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and the Ontario Small Claims Court.

Before joining D’Alessio Romero, Michael gained invaluable experience as a lawyer at a full-service Vaughan law firm and completed his articles at a mid-town personal injury law firm. He has vast experience handling injury insurance claims, including motor vehicle accidents and slip and falls. He is dedicated to advocating for victims of personal injury and is committed to getting maximum results for his clients.

When Michael is not working as a lawyer, he enjoys playing competitive soccer, travelling, and spending time with family and friends. Michael speaks Italian and is a member in good standing with the Law Society of Upper Canada.



Robert McNeillie received his Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Law from Carleton University and obtained his law degree from Stirling University in Scotland with Merit. Robert returned home to further his academic background and obtained his Master of Laws from Osgoode Hall.

During his studies, Robert started up a successful construction company in Toronto and provided his clients with exceptional customer service and quality of work. Robert was also a committed volunteer for Pro Bono Students Canada’s Family Law Project, assisting self-represented litigants with their legal issues and providing valuable information to those in need.

From an early age, Robert was exposed to the difficulties an individual and their families endure after a motor vehicle accident when his mother was injured by a distracted motorist. Being exposed to the process at an early age provided Robert with the determination and drive to assist those injured as a result of others negligent actions.

Outside of law, Robert enjoys de-stressing while whitewater kayaking and being immersed in nature.



Jason joins D’Alessio Romero Law Firm after recently graduating from the JD Program at Western Law. Jason was heavily involved in the Western Law community during his time at the school, highlighted by his work at Western Law’s Community Legal Services as an Associate Caseworker, and during his third year in his role(s) as Co-Chair of the Western Law Games Team and as captain of the Western Law Men’s Hockey Team. He was also a committee member of the Western Law chapter of the First Generation Network, participated in several moots, and served as a judge for the WESLA Hockey Arbitration Competition.

Prior to law school, Jason earned his Bachelor of Arts with an Honours Specialization in Social Justice and Peace Studies from King’s University College at Western University. He also has an extensive background working for over ten years in client service and sales, primarily in the telecommunications industry.

During his second-year summer and throughout his third year of law school, Jason worked for a boutique civil litigation firm in London, Ontario. There, Jason gained experience with claims involving motor vehicle accidents, occupiers’ liability for significant injuries, and long-term disability insurance. This experience solidified Jason’s desire to advocate on behalf of individuals who have been injured, and to seek that their rights are protected.

Outside of law Jason enjoys playing and watching sports, especially hockey, golf and baseball, and also likes to cook and frequent the gym.



Angela obtained her Bachelor of Science with Honours majoring in Psychology and Criminology at University of Toronto, St. George Campus. She then proceeded in obtaining her Court and Tribunal Agent diploma with Honours in an accelerated program at Seneca College before becoming a P1 Licensee. Since then, she has been fighting for her injured clients’ rightful compensation from insurance companies through Accident Benefit claims.

Angela speaks Cantonese and in her spare time enjoys hiking, playing badminton and practicing kickboxing.
